The mirror shows you what’s around the corner. I guess it’s there to prevent a #catastrophe, like a family standing in the middle of the road being run over. But it relies on drivers slowing down upon seeing such an image. Not hitting the accelerator like this… #vss365 #vsspic

The mirror reflects a happy family but is that it, entirely? The complexity of life— one minute lonely the next craving privacy. wishing for intimacy but also, please leave me be. The world can just be so very people-y. Can't I float out in space, just me for ten minutes? Then back to the family.

They still had surveillance cameras watching the dissidents, but in calmer areas, they put up mirrors. The kind you would see in convenience stores that went in the corner. These now went up around shuttered libraries where the word pushers and page dealers still slung filthy truths. #vsspic
