I thought Marathon would be decent, but I didn’t think it would be for me. I loved my time with it. I think there are plenty of Destiny folks who are in the same boat as me, a not particularly engaged PvP player. Please check out my preview. I’m pretty proud of it. www.polygon.com/impressions/...

Late night rabbit hole: Puerto Rican reggeatón feuds. AnuelAA came out with a lame ass diss track that had no rhythm or flow. Farruko said, 'hold my beer' and COOKED. So impressed by the punch lines and different flows mixed together. The way I’m so invested in this drama...😅

I wasn't directly impacted, but I'm still processing the news and it's been incredibly difficult and mentally taxing. Thank you to those who reached out privately to check in on me ❤️. The grief and survivor's guilt is real. Layoff / job loss trauma sucks. 😥

People tend to think burnout is from overworking, and while that doesn't help matters, it has even more to do with a lack of stability and psychological safety. Being stuck in heightened stress states (flight, fight, freeze, etc) with no clear signal it's safe to come down wrecks body & mind.

It's a really rough day. I am safe (this time) from layoffs, but it's not much consolation when the economy is what it is and this industry is in such a dire patch right now. There are some incredible folks on the market for a new job right now.

Liana is incredible and any studio would be beyond lucky to scoop her up. She was an asset to Bungie both for Destiny players and for the greater accessibility community.

Day 2 & 3 were awesome! I got to catch up with more friends, meet new people, check out cool indie games, and celebrate Larry's & our friends' successes with Fae Farm (it's coming out soon!). Didn't get to meet Freddy, but I got to take a picture with the Chief 🫡.
