Trying to rebuild your life during this time in American history is truly a waking nightmare. I just had a remote follow-up with my psych who had a patient ask her this week, "Are they really going to put me in a camp?"

What sound engineering wizardry goes into making the NPR Tiny Desk concerts sound so good? Seriously. So crisp and clear. I can pick out individual instruments and voices. It's magical. #soundengineering #sound #music #NPRTinyDesk

I feel like games have reached their Disney phase. Trying to recapture the magic of the original releases by dropping "OG" patches as game modes without recognition that the real magic in those moments was the community, players, and sense of discovery.

Does anyone know if there are ways to schedule BlueSky posts natively? I'm moving our studio comms over and we don't use one of the platforms that currently supports scheduling (Buffer, etc).

Others have noted it but I will too: The big reason Bluesky is so hot right now is that the people who add value to social media - the frequent posters in specific fields - are here now, talking to each other and creating the "spectator value" that draws users and attention.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism. We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

Feeling incredibly sad following the Firewalk news. I don't think we talk enough about how traumatizing it can be to be fired. Even when you know the bet is risky, it almost always takes you off guard and sends you into a spiral of guilt, shame, and grief that hangs with you for years to come.

It will never cease to infuriate me how the country that advertises itself as "the freest nation in the world," that simply cannot shut the fuck up about "democracy," still forces people to register to vote. If you pay taxes, you should be able to vote, full stop.
