idk on one hand it’s like maybe I stopped being as excited about Star Wars because fandoms ebb and flow (true) and thr stopping left me without a ton to look forward to (true) but then we get a comic about darth vader (500x) and sometimes it is the external factors

vika @vividsunsets.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

saw the preview for the r1 vader comic and they’re calling it the most unnecessary cash grab of all time

when I finally write my fic about the dyad and how Rey feels about it post-K*lo’s death you’ll see

120

vika @vividsunsets.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Listening to the Madaline Roux interview where she talks about Rey’s burgeoning stance on what the jedi could be (spoilers)

anyway I thought Legacy was good (with incidentally the villain subplot being the highlight for me) but didn’t hit the mark that makes me overly hyped. That said, the discussions of legacy, the way gender ties into it, and how trauma makes flawed people kept me locked in and imo makes this solid

vika @vividsunsets.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Reading TFoKR and Legacy and ah yeah, I do enjoy Star Wars

100

vika @vividsunsets.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Listening to Star Wars Legacy and spoilers to follow but “my father worked for the first order security bureau BEFORE IT WAS DISOLVED” like that hit hard as a tierny fan because wdym—

010

vika @vividsunsets.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

the problem is that I have a few books on my tbr vying to be read and while I don’t want to keep pushing off my listen of Legacy, I’ve really been enjoying the Ana and Din series so A Drop of Corruption is piquing my interest

110

vika @vividsunsets.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

also very cool that tumblr just isn’t letting me make original posts through the app now so by process of elimination bsky gets to know that I’m working on reading somewhat-consistently in 2026, even if all but one have been audiobooks

I am not the intended audience for the $200 Vader book nor am I buying the $200 Vader book. That said there sure is an expensive Vader book coming out.

lrp I’m iffy about how much of the marketing seems to surround the damn lightsaber given that Rey hasn’t known it for too long (though it is a piece of Jedi Historu to her) and that’s the saber of Leia’s Sperm Donor She Feels Complicated About but I realize it’ll probably be part of the narrative 🙂‍↕️
