🔵🌊🛰️🍥A mesmerizing view from #Himawari 9 shows a giant phytoplankton bloom in the Southern Ocean, just few off the coasts of Australia. The ongoing bloom on Dec.4 showed a colorful mix of swirls covering almost 1800km2 and rotating slowly.

As usual, the #sentinel2 imagery off the Gargano peninsula offers a wide array of #oceancolours in the coastal waters across small-scale and sub mesoscale oceanographic features: small plumes, fronts, swirls, meanders. This is my first post here, but it’s really like the ones on the dark side ;-)
