I saw her recently. She seems to be doing well - but had some concerns with the Kings committing to a small point guard with questionable defense. Also - on the hot mic thing - both these players model (or pose for pics to sell products). Calling a model attractive should not be a controversy.

Painting the Palestinian abandonment as solely Israel’s doing lets many regional players off the hook. There is no defending the current Israeli government or the continued settlement of the West Bank. But a solution for Palestinians isn’t going to happen until the region mobilizes for peace.

As an American political historian, I can confirm that this Congress has been "almost unmatched in history" in several categories -- sad abdication of its war powers, craven surrender of the power of the purse, weird refusal to conduct meaningful oversight, and an utter failure to pass actual laws.

If NFL owners want to censor who performs in stadiums, they shouldn't ask taxpayers to help build them. You can't take public subsidies for stadiums then use them as your personal editorial board. Pay for it all out of your own pocket and hold as many Kid Rock concerts as you want to.

I think you need both perspectives: empathy for the people suffering and acknowledgement that unhoused people and untreated mental illness/addiction degrade public spaces for everyone. It’s both a personal and societal issue.

I’m simple about money. But I don’t understand: 1 - why commercial storefronts are allowed to sit vacant for years. 2 - why a purchaser of a residential apartment can raise rents without any linkage to building improvements. 3 - why rich people can borrow money backed by securities tax free.
