The North Carolina Supreme Court has temporarily blocked a lower court ruling that would have required 65,000+ votes cast in the 2024 state Supreme Court race be recounted. A full machine recount and partial hand recount already found Democrat Allison Riggs leading her GOP opponent by 734 votes.
