Excellent to see a legal challenge to the current federal administration’s dismantling and delaying of its emissions reductions plans and measures. We need to pull out all the stops to make our elected leaders address the climate crisis with due urgency. www.nationalobserver.com/2026/06/16/n...

I'm not from the area but the idea of taking a "friendlier tack" to an industry rampantly killing us and our planet is such an oxymoron. How can you comfortably sit there and think this technology is a necessary evil with such apathy? ESPECIALLY given the current gas prices. c'mon

I would also like to suggest about.worktree.ca 'cause it's basically Github but Based in Canada, as well as looking through worktree.ca/taffer/canad... for other alternatives. Worktree/ca says it's good for OSS projects, but I can't tell from that if it has the equivalent of Sponsors as well

Bluesky is such an amazing place but if everyone reposts the artworks they see and show their support to their favorite artists more often this place would become a best social media app for the artists as we struggle to survive REPOST. WE DONT HAVE ALGORITHM HERE.

also it's both fun and exhausting to learn. sometimes the full statement is more like "i dont have the time to learn [...] because i just don't have the energy for another (fun) rabbit hole" 🥹

Viper707 @viper707.bsky.social · 20/01/2026

I felt this a lot. It comes with the territory of having ADHD 😵‍💫! but, once I learned how to cycle between hobbies without burning myself out on them and also progressing them as well, it was way easier and fun to engage w/ them (my personal experience)

I don't recall the last time my parents were as worried as I saw them yesterday. Only recently did I understand the history the US has with South America. They have the same attitude toward us that corporations have towards blue collar workers. It's so grotesque.

Regret to inform you I went full 2008 over the Mamdani inauguration. That shit was really moving, and his vision of inclusion and great works is the kind of thing I’m supposed to be too jaded to flip out over. But goddamnit it’s nice to feel some hope. Even if just for a day. Let’s make it last.

I find a lot of the parasocial chat about Mamdani & Duwaji a little not-for-me but one thing that strikes me most is that they're really just newlyweds navigating this extraordinary experience together. It's got to be such a stressful, absurd situation even for old married couples to go through...

For all the new artists joining Bluesky: 🎨 You don't have to censor words such as commission, Patreon or Ko-Fi. 🎨 You can share links and your post will not be de-boosted. 🎨 You can take time away from Bluesky and come back whenever you feel like, there's no algorithm to punish you!
