Highlights from the past week: Pretty foils for premodern and some damaged dazes that will find an un-sleeved home. I’ve had a copy of “Jigoku” for a while. Well worth the watch. 50-50 martinis have been the drink of choice lately. Salty snacks on the side.

I enjoy the conceit of introducing the cards physically to Sam in the Strixhaven debut video. Similar to the advertising and art direction push for physical mediums in Lorwyn Eclipsed, this is a subtle way of highlighting that magic is a physical media with people that are excited to share it.

To clarify I think there are pushed cards in every set, but I think it's pretty clear that the level of creep in UB sets is different than the level of creep in UW sets.

UB spiking power creep is for sure a factor, but the rapid release schedule that overwhelms players must overwhelm development. This game is so good. How good would it be if there were two less sets a year and development had that time to cross check work and revise things?

Edge of Eternities prerelease. Got to play “Shrimp Fried Rice.” When it got going this deck really cooked. Lacked a little consistency but it was so fun to play.
