Favorite trad folk/gospel song, the rendition of it is just absolutely haunting and beautiful. The way you can feel the weight of Kristin’s singing is just crushing. I love her instrumentation and the effects added to her vocals.

Some pics from the AIDS Run/Walk yesterday that I participated in via my job. Not doxxing my coworkers and board members, hence the emojis over faces. Anyway my team raised just short of $40,000 to support clients facing emergencies or in need of support which is pretty cool. It was a fun time!

I am averse to framing body horror as being queer because I think the point of body horror is destroying coherence via unwilling body transformation — pointing out that we are actually all just meat to be shaped by an external force, and the horror of no autonomy and the destruction of identity.

Something I have noticed spending my entire life in and around Chicago is that this general area is bizarre, but not in the east coast “small town with a secret” or west coast cult leader way. It’s the sort of unusual you don’t notice unless you ask a lot of questions or have it pointed out.

Being fairly online but hardly spending any of my time on social media has probably been one of the best uses of my non-productive free time because I look up interesting information or do research for myself about topics I care about or find novel. I love the computer, there are cool facts on it.
