sorry to put my strong opinions out onto the internet, but i do not believe that is something werner herzog would say

i’d 100% be the guy that would die instantly upon drinking the potion and the potion maester would be like “his constitution was too weak, he was not ready”

The instructional IKEA baby with unrealistic fine motor skills is real and he can hurt me

Instructions from an IKEA booklet that shows a baby pointing at himself and another illustration explaining how to strap him into his seat

to try and end the evening on something lighter: i am enjoying fortunes weave a lot. having party members that are present throughout the narrative is what fire emblem has been missing; its systems are woven together to form a warm blanket; whenever i am not playing it, i want to be playing it.

I don't think you need to make a decision right away. See how you feel in a few days.

Don't have much to add that hasn't already been said, except please be kind and patient to the friends and colleagues who have been betrayed. Do not jump down anyone's throats. Give them time to process things.

i simply cannot believe the creators of the Arc Web Browser would go all in on genAI. if only there were signs for us to pick up on, such as them being the creators of the Arc Web Browser

turns out if you put werner herzog into a fire emblem game, it's really really good

120

harry @videogamesarebad.co.uk · 29/09/2026

also i don't usually care that much about the characters in a fire emblem game as much as, er, other people do, but they're really good in this one, i love all of them and would die for them. i have only seen fabio briefly but it feels like they have an all timer on their hands with him

harry @videogamesarebad.co.uk · 29/09/2026

im only like 15 hours in still and i feel like i'm only scratching the surface, i am legit near at the beginning of one of the *four* playthroughs that you can do, what's that about, how have they put so much stuff in there.

Fire Emblem Fortune Weave's characters when they ask a random bird what the secret to life is and the bird sings a song instead of flapping its wings:

AND MY DAY IS RUINED

what the sniper hears as they're watching me through their scope: yeah I think that it might be more an American thing or something because i *do* think it's a little strange to bring an iced coffee into a job interview i think it'd be more socially expected for the company to offer you one when yo-

I don't remember that but it definitely sounds like something they'd do and it sounds terrible lol

000

harry @videogamesarebad.co.uk · 24/09/2026

Yeppp I was speaking to someone who brought this up about how the showrnr said it should be at 4k with HDR and whatnot and it's like, my monitor is one of the most expensive things i own lol and it looked *terrible* it's wild that they'd blame it on the equipment when they have *done it before* lmao

010

harry @videogamesarebad.co.uk · 24/09/2026

and yeah I was really hoping that the drop-off wouldn't affect my thoughts on the later episodes but I totally get why the show and people talking about it pretty much vanished. the final season(s) are *that* disrespectful towards the rest of the show imo.

000

harry @videogamesarebad.co.uk · 24/09/2026

yeah someone said to me the long night would have been better in the day, but I replied that the show did, not one but *two* really well shot night time battles! the blackwater episode still might be my favourite!

harry @videogamesarebad.co.uk · 24/09/2026

sometimes the tides of internet opinion are just right about stuff lol. I thought a lot of the criticisms were going to be a be a bit Reddit, but I cannot think of any redeeming qualities. I even disagree with the people who are like "well at least it looked good" it looks like shit.

110

harry @videogamesarebad.co.uk · 24/09/2026

I totally get how the culture cache was completely obliterated upon this final season. it is that bad. It was everything I have heard people say about it and more. a betrayal to its characters. a betrayal to film making. a betrayal possibly to stories themselves.

220

harry @videogamesarebad.co.uk · 24/09/2026

okay it's done thank you all for joining me, I went in hoping that the distance from its creation would soften the blow but that did not happen at all

WHAT IS THE SHOW EVEN TRYING TO SAY AT THIS POINT? THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
