We eventually got it done. After nearly 10 games of playing like a VGC player 💀

Tfw you build an entire slop team around Tailwind + Scope Lens Leaf Blade (to satisfy 3 Critical Hits mission).

Beyond this, I’m now fully confident that I know how to play VGC. I’m still not the best, but I know how to get there. And my route is inevitably going to be a lot different from everyone else’s. Up until now I’ve been trying to rush everything. I am now certain that rushing is not necessary.

It actually used to be fashionable to drop at an x-2 record. But I think this is because the travel award game was a lot more intense back then, as things have since changed. Being “forced” to go to a Regional really changed my opinion about them, but I think it’s been a very healthy experience.

This was an extremely difficult week, which led to a less than savory tournament performance. But it has brought a lot of things into perspective. NAIC is next up, with locals and online from now until then, along with a lot of IRL stuff. Louisville has elevated my approach.

The hack for Uber Eats is to schedule your order. Usually scheduling goes about 1 hour out, to several hours (if you want). Standard delivery will have you in a 90 minute queue, after giving you a 30 minute estimated arrival time. And Priority is a scam apparently. Extensive testing is underway.

Bluesky is bugging out and I can’t upload videos right now… “Too many multipart videos” except no there isn’t…?

000

I wanted to pop up at the venue today to spectate, and just walk around Louisville from there. Surrounding the convention is a pretty good amount of stuff to explore, all strung along by a local bus system. The weather is a bit muggy, though. So I stayed inside. But… now I can’t find local food!

000

Uber Eats dropped the ball by not having a “local favorites” feature on their app 🤦🏽‍♂️

[The Simulation] The machine has beaten Michael Kelsh. It has happened. I’m currently on a trip. Its helped me realize what I gain from this VGC journey I’ve been on. I wanted to prove then that my ideas are better than others. Now all I need are ideas that work for me. The journey is the answer.

Tournament review tho. Round 1 loss to Dragapult (bad matchup) but because I threw the game on accident. Round 2 I unfortunately won and had to continue playing 😂 Round 3 an NAIC challenger stayed ahead of me (I’m tired). Round 4 was close but I was cheering for them b/c I liked their team.

And to even further the point… this trip was off the back of my Toronto trip that was force-cancelled, due to weather. So I needed to spend that travel credit before November. So I’m gonna eat this chicken and drink whatever I want. And I’m going to enjoy it! 🤣

I absolutely was not supposed to go to this tournament. But I did it anyway. And I played x-3, as I said I would. And I respected my opponents and gave them the best games I could, within my mental capacity. And you want to know why I did it? Because it costed me a lot of money! 😭

I’m just standing in a rare pocket of open space whilst waiting for Round 1 (16 minutes past time) to end….

I’ve been to four Regionals (including Louisville in 2024) and this place is literally impossible to navigate. It’s like traversing a jungle.

Omg the layout of the venue is legitimately so bad this year.

I threw the first game of round one, didn’t even play the second game seriously. My opponent was like “you have a really cool team!” I just looked at them dead-eye and said “thanks.”

100

I’m dropping at x-2. I am not physiologically competent enough to give this team the justice that it deserves.

100

I’m exhausted and shouldn’t be here, but I’m playing to x-3 or CP worst case scenario.

I don’t drink coffee, and I just want the filthiest latte right now idec.

I’m very curious about this “hot brown” Louisville sandwich. And apparently a pie with chocolate chips in it?

Absolutely! Honestly I had to learn that if you’re a good person, there’s always someone that will appreciate you. There are enough baddies out there as it is. But na, I definitely struggle w/ the same thoughts. I have almost no “friends” but I try to spread positivity and let it swing back around.

So I’ve decided to scout Discord servers on Limitless which host tournaments on the days that I’m off work. I just want to say that Rillaboom has been *consistently* more popular than Incineroar since Grassy Surge, and I think it’s worth a mention.
