I’m thinking about swapping Floette out of my team… for Mega Raichu Y. Not entirely sure yet. It’s something I’m demo-ing in my head at the moment.

I wonder if I can trade my Pokemon Champions-stamped team to another game, and have it keep the same stats it had in Pokemon Champions 🤔 I would like someone to practice my Frankfurt Eric Rios matchup with, but I want to give them the fully trained team, so they don’t have to spend any VP.

Not much here. However I do want to say that I’m questioning how I won. This was a Gravity spam team with Sing Clefable and Focus Blast Mega Dragonite. So my Salamence at base couldn’t live a Focus Blast + Life Orb Make it Rain, which allowed me to win the game. But I find this a bit concerning 😂

Pokémon Champions, Ranked Battles. Double Battle.

Hisuian Arcanine + Basculegion lead vs opposing Sableye + Mega Dragonite.

Mega Dragonite had Thunder and Focus Blast. Sableye was Light Clay with Gravity.

Clefable was in the back with Life Dew and Follow Me. Plus Life Orb Gholdengo.

Hisuian Arcanine and Eternal Floette came in the right position to win the game.

Pokémon Champions, Ranked Battles. Double Battle.

“9-Win Streak!”

Missions complete for the day.

There is a non-zero chance that Mega Raichu Y *is* the meta of Regulation M-C (given its meteoric rise in Regulation M-B and beyond) but I’m not saying that I’m convinced yet.

Analyzed Eric Rios’ Frankfort-winning team. A beautiful exhibit of precision team building. Having all of the right tools to deal with the predominant meta, whilst maintaining a high power team composition. All of these Gholdengo teams are the same to me. In a way… they have *too many* tools.

So… when building teams in VGC, it often starts with idea. But sometimes the base idea may be inadequate, and so inspiration from other teams can help. When scouting for ideas, I think it’s important to understand the teams that are working, what makes them work, and understand your own play style.

Quinn @vgquinn.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Things I like about my base team for Regulation M-C so far. Female Basculegion underrated. Sneasler + Basculegion is a solid lead. Hisuian Arcanine is harshly underused. Pairs well with Salamence. Salamence — Intimidate. Tailwind. Aerilate. 👍🏾 Rillaboom. 💯 Floette benefits from its partners.

Quinn @vgquinn.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Missions done for the day. So I was going back and forth on whether or not to add Kingambit to the team, or keep Rillaboom. Based on the amount of value I got from Fake Out (not shown in the video) and Grassy Glide in this game… keep Rillaboom.

Friendly reminder that missions are an easy way to keep up with Pokemon Champions. Just dailies first, and then weeklies. Since most of the weeklies you can hit on Casual Battles. With just that, and skimming Battle Data and some tournament results, I’ve pretty much been coasting by.

I actually have an abysmal matchup into Gholdengo. I honestly can’t ignore it any more lol

110

Quinn @vgquinn.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Its actually wild… because the entire “gimmick” of Joe’s team is the Corviknight. So if you are aware of it, you can try and find a way to respond to it. Whereas if you aren’t aware of it, you can possibly outright lose to it. Especially in an online challenge. No one ready for Mama Fish tho 🐉

200

Quinn @vgquinn.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Well. I just 3-0’d Joe Ugarte’s Baltimore winning team. Can I go to bed now?

Pokémon Champions, Online Competitions. Double Battle.

Rillaboom Basculegion lead vs opponent Indeedee Corviknight lead.

Penultimate turns (important details).

Arcanine gets a burn on Corviknight. Corviknight is +3 in attack in defense.

Salamence is still out of range of Brave Bird with the burn.

Indeedee is healthy, and their Sneasler is low.

Their Salamence takes a Hyper Voice on a switch in, leaving it in guaranteed range of Ice Beam.

I have Rillaboom and Basculegion in the back, though Rillaboom will be the next to go down (Hyper Voice + base Expanding Force combo).

Ice Beam + Hyper Voice clears the field.

Trying to figure out what my Dragapult + Glimmora matchup is… and I’m pretty sure it’s just a fake matchup.

100

Quinn @vgquinn.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Female Basculegion is almost like a support Dragapult, in my opinion. It can really go Flip Turn, Wave Crash, Last Respects, and any support move like Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Surf, Icy Wind etc off of a Naive or Naughty nature. I’ve also considered Life Orb Crash, Respects, Ice Beam + Farigiraf.

100

Quinn @vgquinn.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Back in Ultra Ball (via missions).

Pokémon Champions, Ranked Battle. Double Battle. Sneasler Salamence lead vs opponent Sneasler Charizard lead.

Opponent with Sitrus Berry (Unburden), Rock Slide Sneasler. Life Orb Swampert. Opponent did not choose to Mega Evolve in this battle.

Final Turn was opponent’s Life Orb Swampert + Staraptor vs my Salamence and Basculegion (-1 attack).

I chose to Mega Evolve the Salamence in this position (thought I brought Eternal Floette for that purpose, and did not reveal it).

Ice Beam (Basculegion) and Hyper Voice clears the field.
