I took a look at the Genesis version of *Shaq Fu* game and found a previously-unreported cheat code that lets you instantly win (or lose) matches. Enabling it involves altering sound options, entering a button sequence, and disconnecting one of the controllers. 32bits.substack.com/p/under-the-...

I have. Back in the 90s I imported Final Fantasy 5 & Seiken Densetsu 3 through an adult friend who had a credit card (back when CCs were not given out to anyone). Played FF5 thanks to that famous translation faq on Gamefaqs, but had to play Seiken blind.

It’s pretty cool you can tell that Capcom heard the feedback over the “Yellow Paint” Discourse for Resident Evil 4 Remake. Requiem, Pragmata, & Onimusha do a great job of guiding the player in various ways while still using the fundamentals of such highlighting (which is good)

The Final Fantasy series is famous for its awesome summoned monsters (also called Espers/Eidolons/Aeons/etc.), but have you ever seen the OG ones? They were first introduced in Final Fantasy III for the Famicom.
