also because Emma and Abby's relationship was strained, and this is bringing up all of the old woulds. I should note that this book came out in 2004, which I mention because Emma seeing LOTR in theaters (and other events of the time) is a semi-important plot point. Also, it is British.

If you want something semi-related to current events I would recommend "The Lemon Tree". It's a non-fiction book about a Palestinian man who meets this Jewish woman who was born in the house he was evicted from as a child. It's an interesting read, and covers a lot of the Israel-Palestine tension...

The sewer is getting a little crowded (Blocktober #10)

Mario notices that water isn't draining correctly.
