It's a healthcare economy, and the rest of us are just living in it.
Line chart titled "Effectively all of the net job creation has been in healthcare and social assistance, and jobs are shrinking in the rest of the economy" shows change in employment since January 2025. Healthcare and social assistance has added 952,000 jobs through July 2026 with consistent monthly growth, while the rest of the economy has lost 362,000 jobs over the same period, meaning all net job creation has come from a single sector in an unusually unbalanced labor market.

Clock this. Next week Trump called in the AI companies for a little extortion. He and Musk have always been a match made in heaven (hell). So if the deal’s struggling they’re both interested in making the U.S. government a buyer.

Define science. Men are more positive about things that may be seen as “breakthroughs” even if they require some degree of destruction and more risk. Science also includes environmentalism, health, education etc. The difference isn’t “science.” It’s risk. Women understand and trust science.

The whole debate about public / private is stupid. The post-1980 system of public / private partnership in the development of new drugs worked well. The right wants to destroy it because they hate public R&D, the left because they feel like the private sector does nothing. They're both wrong.
