I bought mine for 410EUR and I see it as an investment in my future wellbeing.🥲 Being very lazy, I can’t stand an idea how troublesome (and expensive) having some chronic desease would be. With this mindset, I guess, the price becomes reasonable. 🤷‍♂️

My specific case is reading a bunch of new code and trying to map how everything works in my head. I need to sit still to not distract my brain like in xkcd comic 😅 But yeah, people differ, mileage can vary. I only tried to describe my experience showing that it was hard at first, but ok later 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, mine has two wheels at the front. So when I’m done, I disconnect the power cable and roll it back out. Mine is also foldable, so I was putting it under a couch each time. But now I’m lazy and just keep it :) At the end of the work day I roll it under the table again for the next day.

So it’s possible, just needs a bit of time and practice. You can start doing quick walks to check email/code reviews, or just watching something. When the body gets used to extra movements focusing on coding and typing becomes easier. One case when I can’t walk is the deep thinking, needs all focus.

Using a “walking pad” with the standing desk for several years now. When I started, I could only walk for ~30 min at a time, then I felt hot and started to sweat (2.5kmh). With time the body adjusted and now I can walk 15k steps in one session no problem. All while typing/working a dev job.

I think the emphasis was on people-hours. Same two people, but a longer timeline. The gain from using AI is speed, the coordination between two people is the same. It’s not about reducing the workforce, but making it more efficient. But it’s just my naive look at this, Zuck could mean anything :)

That’s the shared code libraries. You’re thinking of DSL.

This is awesome! I also vibecoded a simple tg bot but for learning German verbs+prepositions: it gives an example with a blank and 3 options to choose. Maybe you’ll want to add this too :)

📣 Germany's close to reversing its opposition to mass surveillance & private message scanning, & backing the Chat Control bill. This could end private comms-& Signal-in the EU. Time's short and they're counting on obscurity: please let German politicians know how horrifying their reversal would be.

In the Future All Food Will Be Cooked in a Microwave, and if You Can’t Deal With That Then You Need to Get Out of the Kitchen
As a restaurant owner - I'm astounded at the rate of progress since microwaves were released a few short years ago. Today's microwave can cook a frozen burrito. Tomorrow's microwave will be able to cook an entire Thanksgiving Dinner. Ten years from now a microwave may even be able to run the country. Recently I was watching a livestream of a local microwave salesman.

Are you using AI to generate these tests?

This is very sad :( I hope the tides will turn. But in case not, will you provide a way to download the complete courses (with videos and transcripts) for those who bought them?

Still hoping to see you live coding with all these tools some day. I have a hard time using LLMs for anything more than code completion (copilot) and quick search how to do X with Y.
