POTS is such a catch-22. When I sit up or stand up for too long I get foggy and can’t think and end up needing a cane but when I lie down for too long I decondition myself and my POTS symptoms get worse

So based on what I’ve read so far POTS is gonna force me into a healthy lifestyle. To manage the symptoms I have to exercise (especially lower body and core), eat several small protein-rich meals throughout the day instead of 2-3 big ones, ditch simple carbs, drink lots of water.

Surgery and recovery thread. Surgery was at 1.30-2pm yesterday, I went under shortly after 1pm and woke up at 4. I immediately needed drugs and was wheeled back to my room at 5. I was in pretty bad pain yesterday, I kept painfully cramping during the night, but now the pain is manageable.

Leaving for surgery tomorrow, I check in on Friday and go in for a talk with the surgeon and surgery. Anyway here’s the plan: - I have a bit of erectile tissue to be removed - some skin and fat tissue will be removed from my outer lips - my urethra is currently too big and will be made smaller
