Honestly I'm shocked by how much I'm enjoying Hurley by Weezer. It's no one's favourite Weezer album and I ignored it for over a decade, but all these tracks are total late 2000s bangers that I had somehow completely missed! www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5Fq...

Today's run! It was misty. I've already lost a m bit of stamina after the half marathon but not much. Now I'm just trying to run at least once a week to maintain as much of the fitness as possible until winter stops me from running completely until spring

I managed to find Mexican dried ancho chilies from Helsinki a couple of days ago and made enchilada sauce yesterday with them. Holy shit these are a complete game-changer! I really wish they were easier to find and not as incredibly expensive as they were! I really want to cook more with these!

I also had this incredible smoothie sour that tastes as if you just mixed mango and coconut in a blender with nothing else. Incredibly natural sweetness! A perfect dessert beer.

Annual CoolHead's Octoberfest festbier from a one litre stein! It's delicious this year too, delicious enough that I don't get sick of it despite having a litre of it! (I have a three day weekend this week)

I tried making Lu rou fan! A Taiwanese braised pork belly rice bowl. It was delicious! The inclusion of takuan, pickled Japanese radish, is historically due to colonial influence, but not meant as an endorsement of colonialism here :P

The new Death From Above 1979 track is pretty solid! At parts it's more metal than what they've done before.

There's a tiny rabbit that must be just a couple of weeks old that I have seen next to rosehip bushes by the school where I work twice now. Both times it immediately disappeared into the bushes once I got close enough to see it, but it really looked like a domestic rabbit rather than a wild one.

It's a shame Weezer doesn't seem to play anything from their SZNZ EPs from a couple of years back during the current tour. For me these are some of the best Weezer ever. Especially the Summer EP. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JEv6...

Still working on slowly uploading all of these tracks without the videos, just to funnel a couple more views for my full album upload with the hope of pushing it over 1000 views in order to boost my ego :P www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXn1...

I took an autumn walk in a nearby forest :)

I saw the Resident Evil movie today! It was a genuinelly really well-paced adrenaline bomb of a horror movie! I was really impressed by how good it actually was.

This weekend's beer. It's a fruit beer with mango and pineapple and it's so juicy I could basically be just drinking breakfast juice.

I tasted like 20 coffees at a coffee festival. Help. I don't even drink coffee.

Finished watching Otome Kaijuu Carameliser! I'm genuinely surprised by how good it was! I really liked it. What a delightful earnest show with romance, kaijuus and a bit of body horror mixed in.

we have control mechanisms for this. it's called The Law. these guys should be held personally liable for these harms. the suicides, the thefts, the intrusions into computer systems. they should be sued and prosecuted as appropriate. problem immediately solved

Pompeii is a UNESCO world heritage site not because it was remarkable in its prime, but because it survived to our era untouched: one moment, preserved for all time. But future generations won't know what OUR world was like unless we do the same. This is why we MUST bury Toronto with a volcano

Finished watching Tetsunabe no Jan! It was weirdly fun to watch an adaptation of 90s manga that's definitely very dated now with its sensibilities but overtly doesn't try to modernise in any way. The protagonist being such a hateable scumbag who you only wish to lose was also a solid premise.

I recently got a library card for the first time since being a kid. I don't know why I didn't get one sooner, libraries are god damn awesome. This will be my work commute reading for a while.

Have you ever taken a selfie through a toilet paper roll?

Post-run beers! A decent enough märzen from a local brewery, and a decent enough Red IPA from a other local brewery. They are right next to the half marathon so this has kind of become an annual tradition. I do quite like Red IPA flavours whenever I have one even if they are not the best thing ever.

Knee was okay and I crushed my previous best half marathon time by like 20 minutes! God damn I'm about to pass out, but I'm glad I could see the result of training for the whole summer!

120

I'm starting at 12:45, looks like there'll be at least some sun luckily. And the knee doesn't hurt while walking so I guess it's not too too awful
