i'm gonna tell y'all a little story from my childhood; something that was extremely localized in my area, and somehow it managed to spread it was a rumor, about pirated tekken tag tournament discs, running on a PS1 🧵

all vibe-coded ports look and feel like shit because theyre made by people without the experience or passion to pay attention to the small details these projects are like a disease to the reverse engineering community and must be rejected at all costs if we want to maintain a standard of quality

beginning to think the only cure to that which ails us when it comes to ai fan tls is for bona fide pros to come together and bestow upon the world the best possible tl patch for natsuiro high school because if the most deserving games now get the least effort, it's on us to make the inverse true

I've yet to play Ape Escapes 2 or 3 but I'm sad they don't have Casi in them. She was my first video game crush. It blew my mind when she finally talked then handed you a sick racecar.

Anyway, D3, if you do loc it, you're probably gonna ship it off to whatever rinky-dink agency does all your other stuff and they'll probably do fine enough, but if you're looking for like the one J>E translator in console games who's played the series (yes, including the mahjong game), call me. 🤙

as pointed out, Cave has released a roadmap for Dodonpachi Resurrection Reignite i am really surprised to see Black Label, as it is my favorite STG of all time, and with stage 6 added to it as well? the scores are gonna be absurdly high since it's worth an entire loop

RS34 gave a Karous BORN presentation on Konami's TGS stream earlier today... no time to go over it atm, but they're Chaos Field-ing it? the sound team for the new Horgihugh revision also performed towards the end of the stream—good on Konami for taking as much of a side as could be expected

I generally dont think purity testing and gatekeeping in arcade spaces is productive or helpful but ngl the larp epidemic on twitter is a perfect argument for the good ol "post scores/clears" response

if anyone reading this is about to try touhou EOSD for the first time, with the intention of learning and 1cc it, i have an important protip: avoid Reimu Spirit amulet, pick Dream amulet instead; the homing shot damage sucks and you'll be fighting bosses for longer, which leads to mistakes

EOSD elitists saying a lunatic clear doesnt count because of all the qol changes, yet they conveniently forget that the bullets are faster in NC i will however shake you really hard if you think a clear of futari black label (another ver) counts; the difference w/ vanilla is night and day
