⛓️ IRON BOUND GHOSTS ⛓️ Made for @brfanzine.bsky.social based on Kohryu & the first Bakuryu's lore ---- #Art #BloodyRoar #FGC #FGCart

Kohryu (a red & silver oni robot ninja whose face is a bearded oni) mid-transformation. His hand is in the archetypal ninja position, where the index and middle finger is raised but the rest of are curled, and lightning circles from his fingertips. The transformation to the Iron Mole shows open mechanical pieces inside and a digitized frame over his face of the beast form. The right side of his face is broken open, showing a skeletal, melted face with a wide bloodshot eye - the same black goo leaks out of the eye of Kohryu's intact half of the face. The digitized frame looks like a mole skull with a nuclear fallout symbol on the forehead, but the snout is warped into a drill - referencing Bakuryu I being used as the foundation to build Kohryu after his death where he melted alive.

A scene featuring Bloody Roar characters in a circus tent. A jovial Greg tries to convince an abashed Yugo to join his troupe. Shina winks and eggs Yugo on, Alice makes a light attempt to hide a smirk, Uriko is awestruck, and Kenji watches on with concern.

Alice being cute 🐇 (per usual) and Shenlong being evil 🐅 (per usual) #bloodyroar #br

Alice from Bloody Roar is about to enjoy a delicious soft serve sundae! Shelong steals the cherry on top and chuckles as he lifts it up to eat it, and Alice looks shocked! A drawing of them in Zooanthrope form is at the bottom corner, and she (a white rabbit) is punching him (a purple tiger) and saying "You asshole!!" as her icecream flings away behind her! Shenlong is smiling smugly, but covered in cartoon bandages as Alice hits him.

I'm in this! Despite a terrible summer of constant things going wrong still managed to scrabble something together and to zero surprise, there's a Trans bent to it. There's amazing things in this zine and so proud to be part of it. The franchise might be dormant but not forgotten. Please enjoy!

Preview sample of my piece for the Bloody Roar fan zine. It reads:

During his early teenage years something… Changed. Quite literally and rather fitting for where they are even though it marked the end of the more innocent era. In the middle of a rather delicate pirouette his beast announced itself and had sent him crashing to the floor with the sudden and violent shift in his balance. He felt like an uncoordinated barrel forced to roll back and forth, struggling to find his feet that seemed to have vanished without his permission. Arms swung uselessly while strange noises emanated from his throat. It was a horrid first experience as things went.

The act of standing managed to send him into a fresh spiral once he realised why his hands wouldn’t work. They were gone. Replaced by stiff flippers narrowing at the tip. They can appear elegant to him now but then…? The horror felt all consuming as he refused to believe and desperately sought out something reflective. Steps that should have been frantic were little better than a toddling shuffle. A (Then) impossible picture tried to coalesce in the panic but denial is a powerful thing. It sang proudly in his blood as much as the mysterious warmth that ignited within his chest.

There should be talons there, came a bemused whisper as he struggled to remain upright.
Sharp as the ones on my feet.
