In lighter news, meet Kara! The first of a fun little comic project i'm calling MCIS. MAGICAL CYBERGIRLS IN SPACE. When the premise is ridiculous, you don't even NEED a clever title. This takes place in the boombride universe, but FAR AWAY from the book storyline #mcis #valdraws #napcitybeats

A magical girl in an asymmetrical crop top and fluttering skirt lands in a strange city that seems to curve in the background. Stars and rectangles sparkle around her as she comes to a soft landing. She has black horns and light hair and is wearing some kind of greek-style wrap up sandal. A handwritten title spells out "Magical cyber-girls in space! a comic by Val Evermech. Ch 1: Kara has landed!"

Bannock poutine and burger!! I waited in line and made friends with a wonderful older guy while we waited. Treated him to lunch. Found out he treated some kids to fancy expensive chocolate bars after the fact. Told him "that's karma, baby!"
