ubuntu server is my goto for servers just because of how much It Just Works :D also if you'd like a less corpo Ubuntu Desktop, give elementary.io a looksie. It's based on the LTS releases of Ubuntu but has thoughtful design and leans towards Flatpak over Snaps

the default launcher is just a wrapper for Wine running the windows binary anyway - this is just better packaged and updates Wine/Proton/et al more frequently

I tried a few for the Switch 1 and they were all kind of ass. But -- I did try a friends Hori grip (which is a joy con replacement that only works in handheld) and that was actually pretty OK, just as they got the weight *down* while feeling normal. I don't think it exists for Switch 2 yet though.

from what I hear, the Linux drivers are actually really solid. it's a good combo of only really needing to support Vulkan, and then DX being handled by DXVK
