The way Sega could throw sprites at the screen in the mid-80s is still amazing to see, and still has as much charm today as when I saw it for the first time back in the day. Great game too.

Watched again today for the second time, probably my last chance at the cinema in my town. It still stands up as the favourite of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man for me. I can take or leave Marvel, but Spider-Man is the super hero of choice for me, alongside Batman.

I think the date on the box is a red herring. Jack Attack, Wizard or Wor, 2 x C64 games pack (Contains Fiendish Freddy, International Soccer, Flimbos Quest and Klax) and , and a Powerplay 64 (Red cart) (Contains Rick Dangerous, Stunt Car Racer and Microprose Soccer).

The arcade cab monitors weren’t in a case, just in an open frame enclosure so the heat could dissipate freely. With a CRT PC monitor or TV, the grills were at the top and back, bang it on its side and that dynamic would have changed.

We regularly go to Crete and always eat in the small local tavernas, it has always been intimate and immense. I find the Cretans are very fussy when the tourists drop into the more rustic restaurants and tavernas. A proper Gyros is a lovely snack.

If you support a number of iPads and Chromebooks in schools like myself and deal with broken headphone jacks in sockets, a biro tube will always get the end out of the devices. Chop a bit off the biro tube, bash the little bit onto the broken jack and pull it out the socket. #lowtechhack

With artwork less can be significantly better than more. AI can’t differentiate this and like an X Factor singer who sings at 100% all the time, every element stands out, so nothing stands out. Garbage, with a hint of muddiness and laziness. Bring back homemade posters and chalk drawn displays.

Yeah, I’ve just setup a Humax Freeview HD box, to watch and record TV, over watching it on the LG Smart TV element. The TV experience is far better (and lack of invasive adverts) .
