I started Tears of the Kingdom again, this afternoon. On the big telly with the pro controller. Much better and I was surprised how much I remembered from last time I played it (probably over a year ago, now). We'll see if I stick with it this time.

That time when I was sent off to Toronto in 2005 to do a promo for Perfect Dark Zero where they blew up some concept images to a ridiculous size and had an art show. Never have I had to waffle nonsense to so many people for so long. It did not sit well.

I've just realised that I haven't played on the Switch for about 6 months, now. I docked it to play Prime 4 and left it after a couple of plays. I've just been playing original GB, GBA and DS stuff, since. I think that probably tells me all I need to know about worrying that I don't have a Switch 2.

The idea that the art direction for the OoT remake leans into traditional Japanese puppet theatre certainly explains a lot of the look (at least in my mind). Of course, I think it'd be great if went all the way in the animation and design but I appreciate that probably wouldn't work in reality.

Definitely interested in another 2.5d Metroid. I enjoyed Dread and Returns, although I don't go back to them like I do with the SFC and GBA games. Kirby looks interesting, too. I really enjoyed Forgotten Land, although the juxtaposition of him and the real(ish) world had a lot to do with that.

I have become obsessed with Makaimura Gaiden/Gargoyle's Quest again after 26 years. How I never got or played the second one is beyond me. Might have to be a rom as I probably won't be able to find a nice The Demon Darkness CIB copy for a reasonable price :( Yoiks! Thought so.

There's no doubting the insane craft and artistry that's gone into GTA VI but I find the setting and culture so utterly off-putting and repellant it could be the best game in the world and I'd never touch it. I managed about 5 minutes of that gameplay video. Another go on Galaxians for me, then.
