I don’t think there is an easy way to claw back market share. To me the best option is to figure out who is still buying and why and lean into that. I think there is little to convince anyone who had moved on from traditional video game consoles to come back.

I don’t think the market for “new old” tech is not non existent especially if it includes capability with the original hardware and potentially the reviving of legacy online support but it’s a niche market that would be competing with diy hobbyists and small businesses.
