Had 2 FOIs rejected by the Attorney-General's Dept under the rarely used s26(2) - all docs totally exempt from FOI. The docs relate to interference by the former AG, on two seperate occasions, in the appointment process for NACC Dep Com positions. Have appealed both decisions.

Latest energy figures are out for 2024-25 - once again 83% of Australia's gas is exported or used to convert gas to PNG exports. There is no gas shortage. We do not need more gas. We need to #TAXtheGAS
Charts showing in 2024-25 4,862PJ of gas was exported or used in LNG plants, while only 1,016PJ was use by the domestic economy of mining, manufacturing, residential and gas power plants.

He really went out on a limb.
He briefly mentioned Australia's opposition to Israeli settlements in the West Bank, which are considered illegal under international law. He said they were damaging the prospects for peace.

But he did not forcefully condemn Israel the way many other speakers did, including multiple European leaders, whom Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attacked in his own speech.
