Is Atlanta finally going to be the preview panel to preview the Netflix show?

Won a bunch of matches tonight but the one I lost was incredibly snowed by how many cards my opponent was drawing and I misplayed out of my windows to win the game. I think this limited format is very fun!

What. The. Fuck. I just saw an ad “paid for by the US government” that was basically a TRUMP campaign ad. It was the most fascist shit of course.

Ah yes angel studios, what a good sponsor of a magic event

WoW forever somehow has landed the plane for Classic+. Its really impressive how much a mess (that I still enjoyed!) SoD was and how much they tightened up for WOWF

You can play commander for a decade and still be unearthing hidden gems. I put this in my Ms Marvel deck as I have a bunch of enchantment bounce. (This has oblivion ring templating)

Watching through Vanderpump Rules from the beginning and it’s like a constant horse race of who can be the biggest villain. James Kennedy is always winning that, no clue how he stayed on the show for more than one season.

Unclear if this ad was supposed to come out today, but at least we know this isn’t a “leak”

The amount of times this thing will die without ever taking damage is going to be off the charts. Still, it’s a fun design for sure.

Are we getting special guests in this set? Or is the pair mechanic kind of overshadowing all of that?? Would make sense to have Confidant and Snapcaster be special guests, but I guess we will know if there are any at all after the debut.

Wonder when they will drop the first trailer for the Zelda movie. Will Nintendo drop it on the table for Doomsday?

Greg @uselessend.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Would be a wild day for magic news if the Zelda direct announces a UB set. Wizards not announcing UB sets for 2027 yet has broken my ability to determine what the non marvel properties will be and when they will be announced.

Played the first games of my Grizzlegom list tonight. Won one! It’s fun to still find new strategies that use old cards I enjoy after playing commander so long. (It’s a 48 land deck)

Fired up standard on Arena again since I got a new phone. Long rotation is awful. Full stop. I don't care about playing the same deck for years, but I really don't want to play AGAINST the same decks for years. zzzzzz

“If you don’t give me enough money we will have to use AI art” is not a kickstarter pitch.

Oh great, another band frontman is extremely extremely publicly exposed as a creep. NOT shocked by this one, he has so many other skeletons.

Max bemis of say anything is a creep. Texting a 19 year old girl who is straight up roasting him and not entertaining his advances.

Genuine question considering people’s outrage on zeta being “only 7 cards”. If collectors packs had no commons or uncommons (making them 6 with one being land) would you still buy them? Do the foil bulk common and uncommons add anything to the packs to make people buy them?

Just realizing that the reality fracture precon has 18 new cards in it because it is printing three new turbulent lands in it. (This is great!) Hopefully it also reprints the other three turbulent lands. (This would make it have probably the best manabase of any many colored precon imo)

This came across my feed and it kind of proves how cooked people are when it comes to grading and thinking things are collectible.

Someone believes graded movie ticket stubs from the opening night of the pokemon movie are an untapped collectors market and have invested 29,000 US dollars in this

I’m at target and they had an absurd amount of hobbit packs. Found out at the register they are only allowing two play boosters per transaction.

The Star Trek cards are coming out today because the Star Trek Vegas con starts today. The welcome decks are being handed out there. Mystery Booster was previewed at Gencon for a MagicCon Atlanta proper “release” in November. The Hobbit has its prereleases on Friday.

Isekai as a genre is exploding in popularity because it appeals to a universal desire to get hit by a truck rather than live in the 21st century.

I know it’s probably going to be said a ton, but Spider-Man brand new day captures the spirit of the recent amazing video games in the best way. Loved the movie, no non spoilery notes.

Is the new mystery booster available to play in events at gencon or is it just going to be teased further at a panel or something?

This just got revealed earlier than it was supposed to. (Gencon announcement) Are they going to announce a UB set too at Blizzcon????

Saw a Reddit post of someone asking for information about a game, and they posted their own chart of “info” which was entirely AI and full of hallucinations and wrong information. The time it took to make that is MUCH less than typing three words into a search engine to bring up the wiki of the game

Greg @uselessend.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

With the concept of the Reality Fracture precon formulating in my head, maybe the set has only one precon because it has a ton of new art to depict the realities depicted? Maybe the precon has more new cards in it than usual as well? Might get an answer to those questions at tomorrow’s panel.

I mean he can just say “Trump is unable to admit Biden beat him” because that is the occams razor here. Any election Trump or Trump backed people lose is an affront to the absurd concept that Trump is infallible and extremely popular.

The reason I know threads ain't shit is because every time I pop on there, whenever an account is talking about current events, it is just people making things up. Its not even coming from a propaganda angle, people are just making things up wholecloth over there for attention.
