As part of the FY2027 budget, New Jersey enacted S-4531, which raises the state CTC amount by 25% for three years. Families with taxable income below $80,000 can claim a credit for each child under age 6. Using our NJ CTC calculator, we analyzed the impact of this increase.

Last week, @govdanmckee.bsky.social signed the Rhode Island Fiscal Year 2027 budget, which includes a new refundable Child Tax Credit. Beginning in 2027, taxpayers can claim $330 for each child under the age of 19. Using our RI CTC calculator, we analyzed the impact of this program.
