If you're in LA City, please call your council-member AND CD8 TONIGHT and tell them you oppose the elimination of all guard rails holding regular Council Meetings. Demand that this last minute, unstudied, addition needs further study like so many studied reforms that didn't make it to the ballot.

Raman up 3.5 points on Pratt (up 29,550 votes total). Bass: +636 (26.29%) Raman: +843 (34.85%) Pratt: +661 (27.33%) For context Pratt did better here than last week since we have a higher % of provisional/conditional votes from in person but it’s a tiny update of votes w/ just a bit of VBM left

Nithya Raman took 40% of the votes in today's drop & has overtaken Spencer Pratt for the second spot. She's now up close to half a point. Bass: +15,691 (32.81%) Raman: +19,096 (39.93%) Pratt: +8,489 (17.75%) Pretty safe to say Raman has unlocked a spot in the runoff.

I spent 4 years as the Enforcement Director for the LA City Ethics Commission, & every election meant the audit team worked long hours verifying contributions for those seeking matching funds. They worked hard to safeguard public $ while also making sure candidates got their $.

Was outside for the press conference in the sign holding crowd. Deal reached, I don’t have the text yet, but I again expect southern alignment selection will be delayed but with guardrails on it and a timer on it, and that the mayoral election will ultimately determine the alignment. Nithya gets

Oh man, I actually love this idea. Why should adults be the only ones making decisions for them? They should have a voice, and this is a great way to active them in important processes like voting at an earlier age. Give them the opportunity to buy into their future and I think you’ll be surprised.

"RECOMMENDATION
That the Council, subject to the approval of the Mayor:
1. Authorize the City Administrative Officer, or designee, to execute an Eighth Amended and
Restated Agreement to Contract No. C-133453 with Ernst & Young Infrastructure Advisors, LLC
to provide financial advisory, project management, and other professional services to support
the City with the Los Angeles Convention Center Expansion and Modernization Project. The
Amendment will extend the term by nine months from September 17, 2026 through
June 30, 2027, and increase the maximum compensation amount by $22,163,301, from
$19,836,699 to $42,000,000; and,
2. Direct the City Administrative Officer and Bureau of Engineering to meet on a monthly basis with
principals"
