On a non-too-far-side-tangent... My mom taught me how to cross-stitch before she passed away and it was only after starting to get into game dev that I really started to love and appreciate cross-stitch. Printing pixel art by hand onto fabric is something else. bsky.app/profile/gord...

Bonus: common merganser time let's goooooooo

A female common merganser grooms herself on a rock at the pond's shore. The picture is blurry as it's very hard to get near these punks. I've drawn a red circle and arrow with an "OH!" to point out the duck-shaped smudge as the merganser in question. Note the red head and slight crest; female mergansers are fancier than some males of other duck species.

The black-capped night herons are lively as hell rn. As in, standing around like lumps in full view instead of standing around like lumps in the shade where they're hard to see.

Excluding legacy brands and juggernauts like Precure, I’m going to go with Fairy Ranmaru. It meant a lot to me to see a team of high-femme magical boys kicking ass. There were some great visuals and themes and the story kept me on my toes.
