I just had a big sobbing cry over Terry Pratchett. I was explaining the Diskworld to my wife who hasn't read any Pratchett and I just couldn't help choking on my emotions. Loosing him still gets me to this day, no other artist has such an emotional hold over me. He was the best of us.

Terry pratchett, I can't express the depth of emotion I feel for his loss. On par with if not stronger than the feelings I have over my mum's murder.

I know that if he was still with us Britain would be a better place, he was our country's moral core, a furious intellect married to a heart that we all felt. All that in the body of an unassuming little man with a squeaky voice.

I met him a few times when I lived in Somerset, UK and he signed one of my books which was very sweet of him.

I don't know what to say really.

Today was bullshit! 95f out of no where is stupid. So today I'm inside painting some hard to reach bits under the arms and subbing out the bottle for the rock I made. Now I'm just hoping that everything stays more or less in place while the epoxy cures.

Base coat for the armour is done! Tried out painting it with makeup sponges instead of airbrush and WOW I'm very impressed with them for hard surface minis. This paint job took me 6-7 hours but I'd say its easily much faster than any other method I have tried. #nerdlings #battletech #warmongers

The legs are being epoxied onto my stalker 28mm battletech mech. It's belenced ontop of 2 spray cans on a chunk of wood wrapped in a dozen elastic bands and supported by a big wooden box.

Now fully enclosed in its home for the day the stalker is between 2 heavy boxes.

I spent some time redesigning the barrel on my ironkin volkite rifle prop. I don't the canon horizontal bars, so I took some influence from scifi engines with these radial fins. Theres space for a led strip behind the fins too and that should give some cool looking lighting effects!

The sky today is beautiful! The higher clouds have this ephemeral quality like a roiling plasma or galactic filiments.
