Camasnacroise, part of the extremely remote settlement of Kingairloch in Morvern. Kingairloch is reached only by single track roads and largely stands on the north shore of Loch a' Choire, an offshoot of the west side of Loch Linnhe. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot... #Scotland

Inveraray Castle (Scotland) 'Tracy Hogan' image & overlap of my old watercolour suggestion on original site beside the river. One of the cannons from the Armada ship (San Juan de Silia) used to attack Mingary in 1588 was on display beside the new Castle when I visited in the 1990s.

108 years ago today. The troopship HMS Otranto sank off Islay with the loss of 431 lives on 6 October 1918. Her loss, and that of S.S. Tuscania on 5 February 1918 with 260 deaths, is marked by the poignant American Monument on Islay. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot... #Scotland #Islay

The pilot fund has been developed in response to the closure of the previous UK-wide Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme. It is open to listed places of worship of all faiths and denominations, with funding available on a first-come, first-served basis to eligible applicants.

Broughty Castle, standing guard over the mouth of the Firth of Tay at Broughty Ferry. A castle was first built here from 1454, though what you see today largely dates back to the 1490s. It saw military use as recently as World War Two. More pics and info: www.undiscoveredscot... #Scotland
