News Every Day, by William Stafford " I heard a bird congratulating itself all day for being a jay."
News Every Day, a poem by William Stafford.

Birds don't just say it once. If they like it they say it again. And again, every morning. I heard a birth congratulating itself all day for being a jay. Nobody cared. But it was glad all over again, and said so, again.

Many people are fighting each other, in the world. You could learn that and say, "many people are fighting each other, in the world." It would be true, but saying it wouldn't make any difference. But you'd say it. Birds are like that. People are like that.

Cardiovascular disease has always been about evaluating several parameters to come to an overall risk score. It is unfortunate that the present risk calculators do not incorporate high sensitivity C-reactive protein. But patients should not get started on statins based on a single LDL number.

Can vegans build as much muscle as omnivores? yes, but they need ~30% more total protein plant proteins have lower bioavailability—you need more volume to match the anabolic response 1.5-1.6 g/kg vegan with proper leucine = 1.0-1.2 g/kg omnivore outcomes shorturl.at/LYWIN

During weight loss you need DOUBLE the protein not "a bit more"—literally 1.6-2.4 g/kg instead of 0.8-1.2 g/kg one study: 40% calorie deficit + 2.4 g/kg protein = GAINED muscle while losing fat 1.2 g/kg group lost muscle despite eating "enough" shorturl.at/LYWIN
