It’s the schools apparently. Proper going for it, barricades and everything.

RIP Jeffrey Archer, not a day goes by when I don't think about the judge in his 1987 libel case (which Archer "won" by doing a bunch of perjury) summing up for the jury by going "would a guilty man have such a hot wife". one of the most insane legal moments of all time

Are those not cherry tomatoes?

Thanks Cathy, enjoy the gym. :)

Oh, thank you! To be honest I’ve surprised myself, I drive distances now that would have been a major expedition with a week of planning beforehand ten years ago.

I had this bit about Jeffrey Archer from the 1995 HIGNFY video memorised for whenever I needed a handy fact about him.

Oh, I don’t remember that but it’s very believable.

Kiwi skin discourse: I thought you weren’t supposed to eat it because it contained some sort of huge skin irritant. Have they bred new harmless fruits now?

A lot of people will see what they want to see, even if the flaws are pointed out.

I’d forgotten about that. The actions of an absolute wanker.

As ever, and for the last time in connection with lying shit Jeffrey Archer, we remember Monica Coghlan, whose life he destroyed.

Oh, that’s awful. I’m sorry you went through that.

Didn’t he do 15 drafts or something? So the final book was actually the best he could manage even with help?

Oh no! Hopefully schools are a bit more accepting nowadays. I can’t imagine being forced to use my non-dominant hand.

McKenzie Method® Treat Your Own Neck Pain Book

I found this book very useful when I used to frequently get muscle spasms in my neck. There are others available which may suit depending on your problem. IANAD of course, so take with a pinch of salt! mckenziemethod.com/product/mcke...

Some AI videos are astonishingly realistic now - it’s only when there’s a glaring error and something suddenly folds in an impossible way or passes straight through a solid object that you realise it’s fake.

As a right-handed person I smudge everything I write and I feel as if I’m pushing the pen against its will - but I’ve found the trusty Bic Cristal (recommended in shorthand classes decades ago) works well.

I hope to - just finished three weeks of volunteering and am hoping to get back on the road soon. It’s just a matter of finding a drive that’s worthwhile financially. I shall be lurking on the app looking for something going from probably Sheerness to far flung parts in the northern hemisphere!

Console yourself with the thought you’re saving on a gym membership …

Hope the craft group cheers you up after the dentist.

How awful, my condolences to you and your friend.

Good luck to Cholo, hope he can get away without surgery but all the best to him if he does need it.

020

A bin! How can people do that?

060

Enjoy the tea party, many happy returns to the birthday people.

Update: a Bic Cristal (king of all pens) works fine. They’ve got the Arabic market sewn up.

Morning Cathy and ORCs. No suitable drives available today so I will keep an eye on the app and look out for something for tomorrow. Arabic learning continues, and I’m pondering whether there are more left-handers in the Arab world and whether their pens are different, ‘cos my writing scratches.

Hope the infusion goes okay and is useful.

Lovely pictures, I can almost hear the floorboards creak.

Good luck for your assessment, or I hope it went well if it’s already happened.
