Just tried Slay the Spire 2 with mods. Turns out that the game loads an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT file if you have mods installed, which means your first run with mods will have none of your unlocks. You get your old file back when you remove your mods.

I *hate* QR codes. I hate that people/organizations keep hiding critical information behind them, when there's plenty of space otherwise for them to JUST WRITE THE INFO ONTO THE POSTER ITSELF! My tablet has no QR code reader, and my flip-phone's QR reader just doesn't work.

Something I noticed about myself is that, when a story does not provide a helpful name for some phenomenon, I tend to come up with one myself, and proceed to think of said phenomenon by that name. Maybe it's a carried over programming habit; every variable and function needs a helpful name.

I can say by now that I've gotten the hang of Krita animation. And I think I have a good grip on Krita illustration, too. The animations for the next #BlueStarGame enemy might look a bit stiff, but: 1, I'm just trying to make it exist first, and 2, those tiff files weren't made in Krita.

We've been knocking down their flags, but now it's time to actually meet the bad guys of #BlueStarGame: the Molten Raiders. So far, the Raider grunts are the most complicated enemy that I've designed. Unlike the Agarics, these pirates are actively hostile and a bit smarter. #gamedev #gamemaker

New OC named Dottie!!!!! It can’t speak on its own. But it has a few speakers wherever the paw-prints are where it can play some pre-set audio clips AND record new audio as well!

I've been told by a couple people that they think i hate indie animation because I've criticized certain indie projects. I've been very vocal about my love for indie and even donated to some indie kickstarters. Just because I'm a bit critical doesn't mean I hate indie animation as a whole.

I just replayed some Super Mario World to see what the first world introduces. Ignoring the non-replayable castle and the optional first level, I was able to name: -10 unique direct hazards -9 unique items -12 unique miscellaneous gimmicks (ignoring the message block, including the checkpoint)

I don't like discovering downer endings in fiction, but I'm glad that they exist. For one, people need to understand that not every story ends well. But from a viewer perspective, if every book and movie had a happy ending, would the climax ever be so tense?

One thing that always trips me up in games is when the same button is used to advance text AND pick choice #1. I'll frequently pick a choice by accident. :/ What if *no choice* is selected by default? This forces the player to press up or down to pick one. #MayGame #gamedev #gamedesign
