De mere vilde lyse asters er fulde af forskellige svire- og dyngfluer.
Denne asters spreder sig vildt med udløbere og kommer hurtigt til at se lidt trætte ud. Men insekterne elsker den og den giver masser af plantemateriale til komposten - så den fortjener den plads den tager.

Tidslerne er tilbyder stadig mad. Her er det måske stor humleflue?

En buket med lyselilla asters (en mere udvalgt sort end den vilde), gule og dybrøde dahlia og matem. Jeg elsker kontrasten som får astersen til at lyse.
