Currently watching Godzilla vs. Gigan and what I love about Showa Era Godzilla is it's sense of continuity. Like if you watch this films in order of release, you could see the gradual shift on how people see Godzilla. He went from destroyer to savior within a decade.

Ani-One PH just teased that they will be soon streaming KakuseiHunter Omegahorn on YouTube. Most likely it will get English subs.

I started watching Full Moon in New York today, but noticed that the English lines in this film does not match the subtitles. There are no English subs with the correct lines, guess I should fix it with my own hands. Enjoy a scene of Maggie Chung calling some dude a motherfucker.

Love that my #LastFourWatched both start and end with found families. First one is just bloodier.

A ride home after watching Forgotten Island made me realize that the friendship bracelets can be seen as anting-anting, talismans in Filipino culture that is said to give powers to the wearer and it range from protection to enhance strength. Realization made the climax hit harder.

Just watched this week's Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. A great season finale. Not only we get a sneak peek at things to come (including why TAS is firm canon), it's a fun story about two Uhuras and two Enterprises in one of the most TOS/TMP episodes of the series.

Just watched this week's Kamen Rider MY-TH and RID's debut was really great. Making him a Cat Rider whose finisher is essentially multiple red laser pointers hitting the enemy before the Rider Kick was really cool.

Gavan Infinity being okay at best might be design because this week's KakuseiHunter Omegahorn not only wrapped up a storyline at its peak, but I got more invested with the Reiji subplot. If you are not following the show, now is the time to jump in.

Just watched Forticus and I am glad that it has higher budget compared to your standard TTFC project. It even has an Eirin marker at the end, making it an actual movie. It's fun and the fake tokusatsu they showed reminded me that Toei used to produce magical girl toku.

“Visually, the series should feel cinematic…” That’s their problem right there. The best British tv is when it was shot without permission in the back of a factory after hours.

Star Trek #StrangeNewWorlds Spoiler Just saw this week's episode and I can't believe that they wrote Pelia off the series... with a Princess Bride reference. Kinda mixed with it, but it's kinda neat. Have fun storming the castle!

Rewatching Himala in a theater might be one of the most spine chilling experiences that I had. The last few minutes of the film gets more haunting in a larger screen where you can feel the impact of the crowd extras.

Done reading Ring by Koji Suzuki. Unlike it's film adaptations, it's more of a mystery thriller rather than a supernatural thriller. Most of the novel is spent on how they can escape the curse and by the time you have reached THAT moment, there's no TV. Just a Death Note death.

Ian Titular @ukiyaseed.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Done watching Kamen Rider MY-TH's first episode. Strong start of the series, and has enough intrigue that can last for a while. Also, can't wait to see the rest of the Zodiac Alliance in action later, especially with RID given how they introduce their dynamic with MY-TH.

The episode hasn't ended yet, and we got BL shipping this early. Naruhisa Arakawa hasn't been a Kamen Rider head writer for over two decades, and he started shipping the two male leads this early on Kamen Rider MY-TH. My goat.

Currently watching Kamen Rider MY-TH. Not sure if this is the result of watching a lot of movies that came out before the 60s, but if they are trying to evoke the silent film era (20s-30s), the aspect ratio should be 4:3. Ultra widescreen wasn't adopted till the 50s.

Watching Bayan Ko earlier, and I did not expect Carmi Martin kissing a woman. One of the cases that I forgot that Carmi Martin was a smoke show during the 80s. First time I witnessed it was when I watched Working Girls last month.
