Real human artists, share the last pieces of art that you made!

Annelise and Mali, sitting on top of their wagon, flirting in the afternoon sun.

Annelise overcome with her Wildfire. She is spinning a flame wheel in her disfigured hand, and her hair is turning to lava as she floats and bends in the air.

Artwork of Carmilla from Castlevania. She is an elegant and majestic pale vampire woman with crimson red lips, icy blue eyes, and long straight white hair.
Although her face is mostly round, she has a notoriously pointy chin. She is also seen wearing a crimson red ombre dress, golden shoulder plates. In the background you can see the moon shining in the red sky.

#MythAugust - 5th There are some gods who are more powerful than others. Some gods are more popular. Worshipping some gods is forbidden in some kingdoms, and taboo in others. There are also animal spirits who are said to do the gods bidding. 1/2

I think a sign is when they do something you didn't expect... like out of no where. I also agree with you, I think it's when you //know// they wouldn't do something. Maybe you have to rewrite dialogue, or have them take a different action.

#MythAugust #WriteSky 📚🩵 Again, a great question. There are factions, which are formed from similar perspectives and power systems. There are arguments and disagreements about how gods demand worship and what sacrifices are expected. Which keeps relationships and alliances fairly stable. 1/2

#WIPSnips - Positive I didn't have positive in my draft. But I had 'favourable'. Annelise is only a child when she is first forced to sacrifice to Cinus so that she might strengthen her Wildfire🔥 #WritingCommunity #Fantasy #WriteSky #WritingPrompts 📚🩵

Pain from the tugging, and scary words became too much. Vision blurred and tears spilled over. “I don’t want to go to the temple, Ma’m.”
“You’re going.” Hair released, and the woman spun her. The look just added to her fear. “You must sacrifice Annelise. We all do. Make it a favourable one, something the God won’t expect. Otherwise you’ll end up in the fire realm for eternity.”

#WIPSnips #positive (certain) #amwriting #horror / #western #fiction #writing - Sunsetter - continuing the tale of ancient evil in the wilds of the west - end of Chapter 3 - Chasing the night.

Excerpt from work in progress: Sunsetter - a novel in the wester/horror/fiction genre:
I returned to my fire with a new-found determination. In just one day I had sniffed out the fiend’s lair and despite my stitches in time coming frayed at the nines, I was eager for the fight.
In the breech I have the silver to welcome No ha to my fire. In my heart I feel the patter of promise, and hope Maddie and her friends will again grace my camp.
It may be that neither will come to fruition. But one thing is certain, the night has come to me, no need to chase it, and as we Sunsetters tend to do at night: I wait.

#WIPSnips #amwriting #amquerying #writingcommunity #writers #writesky Once again from Icozoue's lightning lesson! This actually fits quite nicely with my #MythAugust yaps this week 😁 From Book 1 of my #Atlantis trilogy.

“Eons ago,” she said, “before the gods and the worlds were ever born, the positive and negative sides of reality were all mixed together. Life and death, heat and cold, light and dark, growth and decay—all of these things were one and the same. There was no time, no past or future, no cause and effect. Nothing made sense; it was utter chaos. And yet from out of this chaos, Ba’oaxa was born. He separated the negative from the positive, pushing them apart to create a Between-Space. That Between-Space, young gods, is our reality, where the Eleven Worlds were formed. We are all, gods and mortals alike, living inside of a lightning bolt.”
She held up her kaana crystal between two fingers.
“And the energy that surges through our great cosmic lightning bolt,” she said, “is the result of the Great Negative and the Great Positive trying to crash back together again. This is what we call kaa energy—the eternal tension which gives us life.”
“Wait.” Mireia pressed her fingers into her eyelids. “Are you being literal about all of this, or is it some kind of metaphor?”
“Yes,” said Icozoue.

The duty of a noble to produce an heir.

I gagged at the mention of obtaining an heir. I hadn’t thought about that. It didn’t matter that I was gay. It didn’t matter that Ys was gay positive in its outlook. I was a noble. And I was a woman. House Octavian expected their daughter to produce an heir. And Ys did not have in vitro fertilization. Did they have turkey basters in this world? Something to consider down the road. I noticed that Amy had gone silent while I lost myself in thought.

“I’m sorry.” I said, “The prospect of having to get pregnant to fulfill my duty to House Octavian distracted me. The process is horrifying. I didn’t hear much after that.”

“I was asking a question.” Amy said, “Do you plan to woo the Countess Fiona?”

“She would be a good match,” I agreed. “And I have it on good authority that she likes both men and ladies, so I would be in with a shot there. But,” I paused.

“But?” Amy asked.
