The American white collar workforce started working from home three days a week for like six months a year into COVID and executives so thoroughly lost their minds over this that they installed Trump II. If anything, AI will create the 7-day workweek.

Watching the Mariners from the 100 level intersection of Jimothy fans and Deadheads. The handmade craft element is strong on both sides of the aisle, but I’ve got to say the Deadheads are winning on overall crowd enthusiasm as we head into the bottom of the fourth.

I work at the intersection of the climate and biodiversity crises, so I especially value actions that support adaptation and mitigation AND conservation, e.g.,: Expanding urban tree canopy, green roofs, rain gardens, etc. to mitigate heat and flooding, sequester carbon, and provide habitat.

Turns out the station piano is load-bearing as a wayfaring sign.
A closed Amtrak ticket office with a digital sign. The text says “ticket office has relocated to the main lobby across from the piano.” There is also an arrow pointing to the left next to an icon of tickets. Seems like adding in a piano icon would also be a good idea?

Is the piano open? I have a few hours between trains at Los Angeles Union Station, and have happened upon my favorite station sign yet.
A blue sign in front of an upright piano that has been turned backwards so that the keys face into a corner. The sign reads “piano closed”

watching baseball & knitting when a ball of yarn spits out a snarl somehow involving three strands, none of which comes from the center of the ball. 🧶 ⚾️ I’ve spent two innings trying to detangle this thing & I’m starting to wonder if my spatial reasoning skills are outmatched
In the foreground is the beginning of a knitted sock on double pointed needles. On the right, a yellow ball of yarn with one orderly strand emerging from the center and ending on the needles. On the left, a smaller ball of blue yarn somehow throws out three strands from its sides, which all converge in a disorderly tangle on their way to the needles.
