🚨 Luxon's Government just this morning has doubled down on its plans to exploit and degrade public conservation land. This morning it has released a revised draft of the Conservation Amendment Bill (CAB) that keeps the plan to change to the very PURPOSE of New Zealand’s conservation law. 1/7

The Govt claims to be pro-market yet: $200m subsidy for oil exploration; Uncapped subsidies to decommission old oil fields; $1billion subsidy for LNG imports; Fonterra faces zero price for emissions under ETS. There is a pattern here. They are using the state to support and subsidise pollution.

Cartoon. Title: COP30: NZ'S GUTTING ITS OWN CLIMATE PACT.

Two panels. First a not so great caricature of Todd Muller (hey, it's been a long time since I had to draw him lol) he's standing holding a report that says Framework he's patting James Shaws shoulder kindly saying "Nice work!". James Shaw (again not a great caricature but at least it kinda looks like him) holding the earth in his hands says back, "Something we agree on!" At the bottom it says - 2019 Bi-partisan agreement.

The 2nd panel Simon Watts is leaning back and tripping over what could be the opposition leader Chris Hipkins (he's dropped the earth and it's slow motioning towards the ground where is smashes. Simon is saying to him, "HA! HA! Not anymore!" And under that panel it says, 2025 Bye bye bi-partisan.
