i am SO tired of the r-slur coming back. i saw a post a while ago that said it's not unrelated that fascist ideologies being on the rise coincides with the people being comfortable using that slur again. fascists grifters are celebrating it coming back. like. full stop. stop using it.

really wished i had bookmarked that post someone made a while ago of "i don't know how to tell y'all that some of you who think are funny are actually just kind of mean" because i think about it at least once a day at this point

I decided to try doing a half squad of models again after not painting for a while. I realized 2 things: I had ran out of black templar paint, and it had been nearly 3 hours.

5 chaos space marine models. Each is a silver color with hazard stripes on shoulder pads and weapons. From left to right: a rocket launcher, axe with plasma pistol, 2 handed axe, bolter, and autocannon.

I have 2 for this one, actually, one enemy, one ally. Firstly, the only defining characteristic of my character to start with was a complete hatred for Severin. (The turncoat in lominsa you fight at like, level 7)

I ended up on Cactuar(Aether), started on Goblin(Crystal) but after spending a whole week camped on aether, I went to the only server open at the time

"For those we can yet save" is still such a good delivery. I missed the initial line in ARR because I was an impatient sprout, but its such a succint way of saying not to dwell on the past but focus on what you can still do. Maybe I should make another visit to that headstone overlooking Ishgard...

"Diversity of thought" is what Tomi Lahren says. Doesn't get clearer than that. It is a dog whistle for white supremacy. Actual diversity of thought comes from diversity of background, which lends more merit to prevailing sentiment.

Did a test model to see how I want to paint iron warriors. I think its cool, just needs different helmets and greebling.

A silver space marine held on a paint handle. He is in a somewhat relaxed walking pose, with a plasma pistol pointed forward. His back arm has a power fost. Trim is accented in gold, with orange and black hazard stripes on occasional areas.

If you are disabled and affected by the California fires, I would love to speak to you for an article. I'm a disabled journalist committed to shouting about shortcomings in our nation's emergency response systems — help me do it! My email is in my bio. RTs appreciated.

I finally painted the first of 2 units of Meganobz, with a kitbashed Big Mek in Mega Armour! Some day, I'll get to my bricks of boyz...

Side angle of 4 orks in power armor on a granite counter. The main coloring is grungy metals with highlights of ivory and worn metal red areas.

Back angle of the Meganobz, providing a better view of the pikes (and my oven in the background)

Front angle of the meganobz. This does a good job of showing the leaning pose on the big mek, as well as the missiles on the kombi weapons.
