Some random character designs for practice, I guess? I just kinda fell into working on them and didn't think about it harder than that. for like four days. lol. I'll probably try and get them coloured soon, probably good to throw into the portfolio after that.

That's fair - like I said, they are mostly coloured! It's not a requirement, though, and if you want to do a black and white comic, go for it! <3 My current one is coloured, my next one won't be - colouring can be a huge drain for a one person team, especially if you also do full shading.

I think you're conflating webcomics with webtoons. Webcomics are very often fully coloured but don't have to be, and they can be scroll format but are more often page by page. Check out Tiger Tiger, for example - tigertigercomic.com/tiger-tiger/...
