Pretty sure the trouble with kudzu is that it isn’t native to the American South, so maybe just consult a guide of some kind before spreading those “native” seeds

Haha the scene of me outside earlier tossing those milkweed parachuters and helping them ride the thermals!

If you aren’t spreading native plant seeds around while you’re out walking this month, what are you even doing?

Coincidentally, look what I just unearthed and am packing for giveaway at nctm Denver! (And also kicking myself that I did not unearth in time for Atlanta last year)
A small pile of black t-shirts with a map outline of the top half of Georgia, an x in the approx location of Atlanta

There have been a few distributed over the years. Not gonna lie. My REAL go to move though is always having one of each paperback in my backpack for on-demand distribution as needed

Screenshot of today’s Connections game on the NYT site. No spoilers. But the words Number and Routine are magnified to show their fortuitous adjacent placement

If the hot dog shop is closed, we might have to get them in bulk from the deli counter. I guess that’d be the wurst-case scenario

Sometimes you just need to make a 76"x50" poster of all 1044 unlabeled graphs on 7 vertices ordered by the subgraph relation. 🧮
full Hasse diagram -- it's big!detail of bottom left of Hasse diagramdetail of middle portion. you can see two rows of 9 graphs on 7 vertices and a bewildering number of covering relations.the top 5 rows of the Hasse diagram with K_7 at the top.

lol I reject your path premise! But maybe turn taking is part of the definition? That would also rule out HHH

Christopher Danielson @triangleman.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
You kidding? They’ll be served canonical examples of each! And then forced to use those canonical examples to craft definitions that hold up to all future edge cases… …oh…. I see it now…

Amazing. Apples are so regional that many of my own faves (which would all live in the lower left hand corner) are absent. Honeycrisps placement is surely polarizing. Also TIL there exists a Ludacrisp apple!

Since I dusted off my social tonight, I wonder if anyone around here likes to think about student work in math like we used to via #mtbos and #iteachmath on the bird app? If anyone's up for it, I would LOVE to know what questions you might ask these two different students. Both new 5th graders.

Finally, on question 1. I want to put 2/3, 3/4, and 4/5 in sequence and ask about what came before 2/3 in that list. I might want to make a move to whatever manipulatives are available to us. Those drawings seem performative rather than tools for meaning.

The calculation in 3 tho? Woof! I kind of need to see it in action. I see a carried 4 early on, and then a carried 10 which soon becomes a 20 and things are spiraling out of control quickly

I am genuinely curious about how the child decided to think about 37 as 7+10+20. I am not judgy about it. I am curious. My hunch is that 20, being a double of 10, feels friendlier. If so, did they have in mind that 30 would be easier as 10+20, or was it more a happy noticing after that 1st 10?
