However, if you look a little closer, you may also be able to see two figures, Native American horsemen, sitting silently on piebald horses, almost indistinguishable from the black & white of the Birch forest and undergrowth..

Beautifully silent, still image; yet brimming with action & significance.

Cleaning stations are a great place to hang out and watch things happen. This is a clown triggerfish (Balistoides conspicillum) getting serviced by a much smaller bluestreak cleaner wrasse (Labroides dimidiatus) #MarineLife #Wildlife 🐟🌿

Two fish at a cleaning station. The cleaner is a small cigar-shaped fish; it is white, becoming blue at the tail, with a black stripe down the length of its body.

The larger fish is black, with a yellow ring around its mouth, a white stripe across its face, and striking white patches on its belly. It also has a white bar across the tail and a yellow mottled pattern on its back. It hangs in the water with its mouth open to allow the cleaner wrasse access to its mouth and gills.

Another view of the same two fish. This is taken more from the side of the larger fish so we have a better view of it, but the smaller one is just emerging from its far side and is half-hidden.

Macro photo of what I believe is a juvenile bold jumping spider (phidippus audax) resting on a pale blue metal patio chair. In the background we can see lines of the mesh metal seat and red-brown brickwork showing through. The spider's abdomen is a warm, chestnut brown bordered by a cream stripe near the head. Five stripy legs are visible. All feature cream, coffee, and almost-black brown sections. A medium brown pedipalp is on each side of the mouth. The pedipaps have long cream hairs. (More info about pedipalps is here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pedipalp.) A strip of cream-colored hairs runs in a gentle upside-down-smile curve under the medial eyes. Beneath the furry curve, two yellow-green chelicerae (mouth jaws). It has two glittering black/dark brown eyes in the center of its head and a smaller eye at the upper, outer edge of each central orb. Along the top of the spider's head is a line of sticky-outy dark hairs, with two thin, dense clumps near the eyes.

Confession continued - And Susan happily obliges with a kind word and a smile, usually with a fancy GIF of some fine freshly brewed coffee goodness. But … I don’t like coffee. So as I am asking for a lovely blue brew, in real life I’m sucking down some Kool-Aid looking drink for my caffeinated goodness. And I KNOW I have the taste buds of a child, because if I need to have my morning caffeine on the go, I will drink the lemonade flavored caffeinated packet that is light yellow in appearance when mixed with water. Lemonade hides the shame a bit.
So please feel free to call me a fraud or a liar, the next time you see me in the ECK Coffeehouse asking for a coffee. In reality, in coffee shops, I order hot chocolate or a fruit smoothie, just like a child.
So now you know my shame 😄
