Remarkable! Check out figure below. “We find that when ants work in groups, their performances rise significantly. Groups of people do not show such improvement and, when their communication is restricted, even display deteriorated performances. “ IG Nobel nomination?

How do massive megaDalton-sized transmembrane mucins reach the plasma membrane in intestinal epithelial cells? 🧐 Using proximity labeling, proteomics, and CRISPR KO, we uncovered key roles for MYO1B, MYO5B, and SNX27 in mucin transport. portlandpress.com/biochemj/art... #mucins #glycotime

Here we delve deeper into what makes a flagellin “silent” - see Michael Bell’s cryo-EM structure of a silent flagellin from the flagellum of Roseburia hominis- it has a different charge distribution compared to FliC and it dissociates rapidly from TLR5 www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

In politics clarity is its own opportunity. The storm of the 2024 election has created great clarity. The richest man in the world, Elon Musk, and 3rd richest man in the world, Jeff Bezos, are currently asking a group of Trump judges to end the right to organize & join a union in the United States.

My new book, Everything Is Tuberculosis, explores the history of our deadliest infectious disease. It's also about our horrifying present: TB still kills kills over a million people per year, even though it's been curable since the 1950s. Signed copies can be ordered at everythingistb.com

Seems that @biorxivpreprint.bsky.social ought to consider adding links to @bsky.app posts given the mass transfer of scientists from Twitter to @bsky.app that is taking place.
