I think I have to retire from animating. I’m in too much pain all the time to keep going. I will still produce and direct animations, but animating myself I don’t think is possible anymore. Even just drawing is a struggle. I want to curl up and stop existing. I hate this.

Throwback to this! Several years ago I was going to write and illustrate a book of dragons. I'd still like to! Eventually. Will revisit this and change it sometime. I have different ideas for how I would approach it now but it's still fun to look at.

The Lopdragon
(Drake Lopicus)
A member of the Nonalatum family (wingless dragons), this small but spunky creature has more energy than it knows what to do with. As hatchlings they are born with exceptionally long ears, which they can use to fly. An excited baby lopdragon can flap their ears with enough force to reach the height of a four-story building. This is probably a defense mechanism to protect them from predators. They grow into their ears as they age and eventually lose this ability. Adults may still flap their ears when excited though!
Adult lopdragons are around the same height as a human. They walk mostly on two legs, though I have observed them dropping onto all fours to run. They come in a wide variety of shapes and features: no two are alike. They can also be just about every color imaginable: white, brown, pink, blue, even rainbow!
Lopdragons are gregarious but also capricious in nature. One moment they are cuddly and affectionate, and the next they are biting you and wanting to play! Most have very sharp fangs like a kitten. Small but painful.
I’ve spent enough time around lopdragons to determine that they favor no specific magical element, nor are they especially magically inclined; Some don’t appear to be magical at all, or perhaps disinterested in using it. Some will breathe fire like your standard dragon. I have also witnessed a unique lopdragon blowing pink bubbles; Upon bursting, they either cause painful blisters, or have a delightful fruity smell depending on the drake’s mood.

The scholar Yiwekora, one of the minor rank of angels, she had thousands and thousands of fox heads jotted out from their body like ferrofluid, made entirely of fluff and pointed noses. Apparently was no more than what people today would consider a fanfictionist, she loved to study love and beauty... Her follows knew every last bit of it, with what little they heard from her, traits of real beauty found most in each others imperfections and perversions... A strange one she was, amongst many other more professional and stoic angels, often scoffed at or not taken seriously... She could hardly even catch a break, even the head's always got caught up arguing amongst themselves, but all of them share embarrassment for the way they're obscured by all the other angels in heaven...

That poor poor girl!

But the sun god Quexol, the space time was driving them mad, as planets spun around the stars, the great leader of angels, ambition itself, went insane day by day chasing perfection, they got more and more desperate, and one day asked the lowly scholar if she's figured out anything, she showed them that she could create love! She could give the people, the fish, the flowers, the birds, she could teach them all harmony, it had to be what they were looking for! But as she went on, and on, and on, talking about embracing flaws, breaking hearts, trudging the chaos... It spun the sun in circles, all the way until... They snapped.

It Tore it's face off.

Rolled onto the floor.

Mutually assuring them and everything else that touched the heavens would be destroyed.
