How very strange.. Received confirmation email following appeal against GI decision from GRC, only for it to disappear completely from inbox. 🤔 I suppose they recalled the email for some reason? Maybe they heard me on radio bbcwm this morning 7:30am+ 😉

On 1st October the English Whisky GI comes into effect. I'm looking to take all views on this for an article. It isn’t just an industry discussion, its a consumer one; so I'm running a survey to get an idea of what we all think. Would love it if you take part & share. forms.gle/puUh9w1dDRCH...

Whisky GI Survey: What Buyers Actually Think

I'm researching how much Geographical Indication (GI) status actually means to whisky buyers, including people who buy it as gifts but don't drink it themselves, following England's whisky GI approval...

So.. we made some lovely little tasting packs with three x 50ml spirits. Cute bespoke boxes made by a local company with bespoke inserts. Bespoke labels from another local business. Sold well, so we go to reorder bottles. "Sorry, out of stock till November" 🤬

Been avoiding the heat of the day with some early starts this week. Need some #MashinMusic Recommendations to get me through Friday. I'm mashing an old variety called Haná, but no Hannah Montana please! 😉🥃🌾

SoB are focussed on promoting English whiskey as a hotbed of true innovation. We don't point fingers to suggest that our way is the only way. English distillers should be free to express uniqueness in whatever way they please, without judgement from those standing on the shoulders of giants. 🥃🌾

Interesting dram. Initially a slap in the chops, so deep and rich. Slowly warms on you with time in the glass and plenty of sips. Your palate needs time to adjust to this level of intensity, but it's worth it in the end. #SlainteBab 🥃🌾🦘

I taught myself to ferment by making wine about 20 years ago. Don't think I've made any since. So I've just bottled a natural wine made with grapes from a friend's garden. At 9%, it's a bit thin, but smells amazing. Will wash the turkey down quite nicely. 🍷👌

Bottles of homemade red wine on the kitchen table. Pixelated red art in background.

Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. With whisky sauce and wee trees. whilst enjoying this stunning delicacy, my 15yo googled.. "what do haggis actually look like?" An image of a little furry creature with a side parting came up, I didn't know whether to laugh, cry or fess up. 😝 Delicious 😋🥃🌾
