this is the quandary of so many bad internet things. the offense is too dispersed. most of the heft/mass of the assault is a million micro-assaults. but social media builds them into more. there are the vicious offenders. but who will really track them down? it's a genuine tough nut to crack.

I got to Copenhagen this morning and have been biking around all day and, y'all, I don't know if you've heard about this, but ... this place has pretty good bike infrastructure. You read about it but it's still just mind-blowing to see. Swarms of bikes, everywhere. Swarms!

Grand scheme of things, stuff like this is small ball esp compared to all this gang’s other abuses and atrocities but: I’ll say it again, the broken windows theory of crime is wrong EXCEPT for political and business elites like these. Every failure to crack down hard on the little, hatch act…

this is disappointing to me to hear. But I think Bill's right. Property is property. Absent some very binding court stipulations, I doubt this means much. My wife was also at WSJ when this happened, albeit in GC office of Dow Jones. Everyone knew what was coming.

2/ themselves up as cosplay American xenophobes. The fewer Milos we have in this country the better. That said, ICE detention is hellish, something no one deserves. The idea that you would drop a dime on someone to ICE as a kind of sick burn or MAGA factional tit for tat is just really sick stuff.

If ICE has 90,000 employees, and all we are asking for is 10,000 deportations a day, that’s 9 agents per illegal. More than enough to cover investigation, apprehension and removal. What are they all waiting for?

Trump announces that the U.S. will allow 300,000 metric tons of ground beef to be imported and that it would be sold at 25 percent below market prices. All of this comes as Trump warns about the dangers of socialism and communism.
Today, I concluded a deal to substantially lower the price of ground beef for working American families. As everyone knows, under President Biden, beef prices soared at their fastest rate and the American beef herd fell to its smallest size in modern history. As we work to rebuild this herd and help our ranchers, for the next 90 days, the United States will allow up to 300,000 metric tons of product for ground beef to be imported with no out of quota tariff. We have a commitment that this beef will be sold at 25 percent below current market prices. This deal will reduce prices for Americans while giving space for our Great American Beef Herd to grow again. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

Chauvin was, in fact, the cause of Floyd’s death. He used a technique that MPD and most other agencies have banned, specifically because it causes death. And the crime for which he was convicted is unintentional second-degree murder, which by definition does not require intent to kill.
