as an outsider, i think DET really messed up the Larkin situation, and did themselves no favors playing hardball with Edvinsson to the point where things are where they are now Larkin re-signed with DET, is in middle of said deal, changed his mind and is using the NTC he was given

I’m not surprised Smits made the team and is starting. That said I think Matthew Robertson was good last year, and better than Braden Schneider last year. I’d be trying to free up that $5.5 million in cap space as soon as possible if I were running things.

The Rangers signed Spencer Martin out of the KHL last year for goaltending depth. He was horrid in AHL, a disaster in the NHL. The Rangers continued to have him in tandem with Quick instead of promoting Garand sooner to get a longer look. Now the Rangers want Garand in AHL to learn more.

Finally saw Coyote vs ACME today, and it is a wonderful movie that I hope can be revisited again in some capacity. Spiritually it also reminded me a lot of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Forte was very good, and I hope that role isn’t a one and done for him.
